Maureen Schmidt
Rincon artist Maureen Schmidt began drawing at an early age and went on to study art at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. She moved to San Diego, CA in 1987 and worked at a specialty framing shop and art gallery.
Maureen's charcoal drawings and collage media were also represented by the gallery.
Since moving to Puerto Rico in 2006 she has branched out into watercolor and acrylic paintings, and is inspired by the vivid colors and natural beauty of this island paradise. Maureen's work is for sale at / The Red Door Boutique, Rincon/Barefoot Yoga y Bodega, Rincon , Puerto Rico. You can also view her work at the Rincon Art Stuido and her own personal website.

Born in Manchester, New Hampshire. Currently resides in Rincon, Puerto Rico.
Education: Currier Gallery of Art, Institute of Art, Manchester, New Hampshire, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts, B.F.A. School of Visual Arts, New York, M.F.A. University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts
Experience: Art teacher at the University of Massachusetts (T.A.) Art teacher at Guggenheim Museum for a children’s program (N.Y.C. Board of Education).
His paintings are represented in many collections in United States, Puerto Rico and Colombia S.A.
His medium is Acrylic on canvas, and portrays Nature and personal images of life in a Pop realism style.
